This ballet barre class combines elements of classical ballet and modern dance. This class will help you improve flexibility, gain greater control of your body, and most importantly, your approach to any type of movement will expand. Music for this class will draw from genres of classical ballet and more contemporary modern music. You will love and plan your week around this must-have class!
ALL LEVEL VINYASA YOGA:
Linking breath and movement. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, Susan will lead you through your practice in a very nonthreatening and nonjudgmental environment. The practice stars with centering, and involves pranayama, movement, standing postures, some meditation and relaxation. The goal of this class is to build strength and muscle tone in the body, while bringing clarity and confidence to the mind as well as peace and serenity to the soul.
POWER FLOW YOGA: (Sweat and Strengthen)
Power Flow Yoga is lively, energetic, flowing class, synchronizing breath with movement. Build strength, flexibility, and concentration. Cleanse the body and calm the mind. You can always expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout combined with breath work. Please bring a towel and water.
This wonderful class lays the groundwork for posture, breath and mindfulness practices.
PILATES MAT CLASS:
Implementation of Joseph Pilates’ six “Pilates Principles” – centering, control, flow, precision, concentration, and breath. Add sequences of isometric exercises, orthopedic stretches, and amazing core pelvic floor movements, and you’ll be sculpting the body proportionally. All body parts will be equally challenged.
Beginners thrive in this mixed-level class! All levels are welcome as we strengthen the mind and body together.
GENTLE RESTORATIVE STRETCH:
This class is appropriate for all levels, from experienced to someone who has never taken a dance or yoga class before. This wonderful class is designed for gentle, beautiful movements. You will learn helpful stretches, poses, and flowing movements that will improve your balance, posture, and range of motion.
CANDLELIGHT RENEW and RESTORE
This beautiful candlelit class will help you unwind, renew and restore. We will concentrate on gentle movement, stretching and a touch of doTERRA essential oils to relax into the evening and help us through the rest of the week.
ISLAND STYLE YOGA:
SATURDAY 8:45 -9:45pm
Let the breath move like the waves of the ocean and feel the body move like the gentle sea breeze. We will be on "Island Time" as we take our time to flow through a variety of yoga postures and gently sway our bodies to caribbean flavored music. This uplifting class is a wonderful way to start your day- you'll feel taller, refreshed and positively charged for the rest of the weekend!
PRANAYAMA & YOGA NIDRA Saturdays 11:30 am-12:30 pm Prana is the vital energy needed by our physical and subtle layers, without which the body would perish. It is what keeps us alive. Pranayama is the regulation, expansion and control of prana through the breath. Research has shown that practicing Pranayama has an immensely positive effect on our wellness. It can help relieve symptoms of asthma and be beneficial in treating stress related disorders, such as anxiety and depression. Yoga Nidra, or psychic Yogic sleep, helps conserve and consolidate our energy and relaxes the entire system. It is a guided meditation through the layers of our being that brings a great sense of relief, peace and calmness. It also improves the quality of your sleep and the amount of your sleep. *You may want to bring socks, extra layers and an eye cover to increase the relaxing effects.
